MONARCH REALTY CO. SIGNS AS FIRST ONE-FOR-ONE PARTNER WITH HABITAT WAKE

RALEIGH, NC (April 23, 2021) – Realtors can expect to see historic numbers of closings in the coming months with the spring home-buying season in full swing and the Triangle’s housing market growing daily. In a new partnership, Monarch Realty Co. has pledged to donate a fixed amount of each home closing transaction to Habitat Wake through the end of June.
“Monarch is really blazing the trail for this new kind of partnership with Habitat,” said Bill Ahern, Habitat Wake President/CEO. “Their commitment to helping our community grow sustainably is commendable, and we hope other real estate firms will feel inspired to follow their lead.”
Jason Queen, founder of Monarch Realty Co., has a history of working in the local nonprofit sector and brings that experience to his company’s corporate philosophy. While one-for-one partners exist at other Habitat organizations, it is the first of its kind for Habitat Wake.
“Habitat Wake helps so many families in need of homes throughout our community and Monarch Realty Co. is honored to be a part of such a worthy cause. Programs like this not only help families but also build and improve our communities,” said Queen.
In addition to the financial pledge, on May 27 the Monarch Realty Co. team will volunteer their time on a Habitat Wake build site.
Triangle home values and closings are up 10 and 8 percent over last year, respectively. And yet, one in four families in our community lacks access to affordable housing. As the region continues to grow, support of partners like Monarch Realty Co. is critical to Habitat Wake’s ability to build new homes even as land, lumber and labor costs rise. Because of this generous donation, more families will be able to purchase a safe, affordable home this year.
